FULL-TIME POSITION
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to work in the storefront to oversee all aspects of our shop's operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for string instruments, along with strong leadership skills and a customer-centric mindset. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our shop.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the violin shop, including inventory management, sales, and customer service.

Oversee a team of skilled craftsmen and sales associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of shop operations, from instrument repair and restoration to customer interactions.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

Cultivate relationships with suppliers, musicians, and other stakeholders within the music community.

Stay informed about industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Maintain a high level of organization and professionalism, especially within the Rental Program and other office-related duties.

Clear communication between associates, staff, and customers is a must.

Qualifications:

Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a violin shop or music retail environment.

Knowledge of string instruments, and several years experience in playing one of them.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for craftsmanship and quality, is welcomed/encouraged.

Strong computer skills are a must (Helpful previous experience with retail software like QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online).

Full-time (long term) commitment: Mondays through Thursdays 9:30 am - 6:30 pm and 9:30 am - 3:30 pm on Saturdays*
